Goodbye Philippines!! I had an amazing trip and so lucky i got to experience such a beautiful culture. The people here were so generous and hospitable. I got to indulge in adobo, pancit, care care, halo halo and many more dishes. Let’s just say I stayed full throughout the day.

I loved my visit to Pangasinan and got to sit in a life full of videoke, tricycles rides, SM Malls, mosquito swatting and the open fields to lookout to. And who could forget the Barangay festival where I felt like I was in junior high again. The decorated lights hung high above in the open outdoor that pays homage to a fiesta you’d see at a Quinceanera. Kids would run out to the dance floor when the lights dimmed and run off as if they were chased by monsters when the lights turned back on. People were having the time of their lives. It was a fun night.

I enjoyed the simple life and only using things out of necessity. Nothing ever seems to go to waste here. The bustling streets crowded with merchants selling goods to you left and right which at times, left me in a confused state not knowing what was presented to me. But have no fear there is always a Mcdonalds right around the corner to make you feel at home. (even though I don’t eat Mcdonalds, btw they deliver!!!)

As I begin and end my trip to the Philippines in Manila I still have much more to see. I didn’t get to explore much of Manila but plan to resume on another trip here. So many more places i want to go; Thousand Islands, Boracay etc.. Thank you to all that made my stay here memorable, Candy Staff, Solar tv, Inquirer, the Narito family and everyone else I met here. For those that I didn’t meet, I will be back someway, somehow. But now, off to Hong Kong to see Mickey Mouse speak Chinese!
